Hanabishi Shares Tips on How to Keep Your Gas Stove Clean

Gas stoves are trusted kitchen appliances that can help us prepare our favorite meals at home while minimizing costs.  Handling them with care and keeping them clean will not only help it run efficiently, but can also prolong its life.

As we observe fire prevention month, Hanabishi shares these to help keep your gas stove spotless and prolonging its life.

Pay attention and immediately wipe off spills and overflows.

As soon as boiling liquids spill over from your cooking pan, make sure to wipe it away with a sponge and diluted dishwashing liquid. That way, you’ll prevent stains from setting in and won’t take as much time to clean afterward. For stubborn stains, try spraying the surface with water & vinegar and wipe away with a non-abrasive sponge.

Keep an eye on the burners and check if they are clogged, in order to prevent it from turning into a fire hazard.

Always check before, during and after cooking to see if the burners need to be cleaned.  To unclog the burner, spray it with water and liquid detergent, let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes, and scrub with a small brush.  Similarly, soak the stove grates in soapy water for the same amount of time, and clean with a brush or sponge as needed. Make sure that the burners and stove grates are completely dry before returning them to their proper places.

Check the back panels and knobs regularly.

Clean with a sponge and dishwashing soap or vinegar solution.

Spending a few minutes every day to keep your gas stove clean is one way to avoid the hassle of spending more time and energy for deep cleaning. That way, you’ll have more time to enjoy your delicious meals with your loved ones.
