Cosmetics in Korea: Philkorec members visits SD Biotechnologies

Famous in Korea, aside from the barbecue’s, korea novels and K Pop, above all is cosmetics.

Korean products are significantly cheaper than their western counterparts because manufacturing costs are lower in Korea. There are many skilled Filipinos also working in this tiger country and enjoying their stay. There is also stiff competition between companies to offer the “best for less”.

Beauty-obsessed Koreans are always on the lookout for the next “Big Thing” in skincare. Same as Filipinos who have an extra income to provide good skincare for them, some will use the Korean products as it’s known for quality and effectiveness.

One of the companies that are thriving globally is SD Biotechnologies. To see the world from a new perspective. This is the SD Biotechnologies view on beauty with products strategically placed at Duty Free, Watsons, 711 and Shopee among others.

Philippines Korea Economic Council (PhilKorec) members visited the manufacturing plant and meet the Chief Executive Officer, Basilio S.W. Park who presented some of the products and discuss their technology and innovation.

Arnel Mateo), Yupangco Group (Robert Laurel Yupangco), SGV & Co (Fabian Delos Santos) and Ahead Learning Systems (Rossana Llenado) among others with the assistance of Philippine Embassy in Korea.  

The members of PhilKorec receives products from SD Biotechnologies with samples applied by Chairman Robert Laurel Yupangco who visited the night market in Myeongdong and enjoyed to know the affordable prices of skincare in Korea.

Through the company’s innovative ideas and R&D based on skin science, They would like to make the world brighter and more beautiful. In addition, by reinventing both inner and outer beauty, SD Biotechnologies will spread the unique vision across the world.
