My Best Christmas Gift Idea

It’s less than a hundred days before Christmas! Are you ready to rumble? Once the BER months started, Christmas spirit is just around every corner. Years ago, I used to shop for Christmas presents as early as September, to avoid the rush, and the long queue of lines in just every counter in all shopping malls. All efforts exerted, several trips to the mall, horrible traffic, and the overtime work for wrapping gifts…and yet I never achieved a perfect gifting satisfaction from my loved ones. There was even a time that in my desire to surprise my son with a basketball shoes, I got the wrong size and wrong style. We ended up selling the shoes instead at a bargain price because we can no longer do a “return and exchange” thing from where it was bought, it’s way past the 7-day return policy (bought it 1 st week of Dec but opened only Christmas eve)… Hassle! So I learned my lesson..! Why will I burden myself to the “shopping-for-gifts” hassle while I can sit down, relax...

Pasig River Integrated and Strategic Master Plan (PRISM) completed

Finally, the Pasig River Integrated and Strategic Master Plan (PRISM) design has been completed. Thanks to the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) and UP PLANADES for the joint effort. PRISM envisions that by 2032, Pasig River and its surrounding basins will be resilient life-sustaining ecosystems that are able to support diverse human needs and biodiversity towards inclusive, harmonized, and balanced development co-managed by competent and adaptive institutions with responsible and empowered communities . Among the 19 priority projects proposed in the PRISM is the integrated wastewater treatment systems. Completion of this will help improve the water quality of the Pasig River, and for concerned agencies to comply with concession agreement and other environmental laws. PRRC, LIAC relocate more ISFs in Estero de Magdalena to Cavite

The Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) , in collaboration with the Local Inter-Agency Committee of Manila, relocated more informal settler families (ISFs) along the stretch of Estero de Magdalena, Manila today, July 3. According to PRRC Executive Director Jose Antonio "Pepeton" E. Goitia , up to 40 families would be initially transferred to the relocation site in Trece Martires, Cavite. While the remaining 60 families were scheduled to move on July 10 to their new houses in Summer Home, Trece Martires, Cavite. Goitia said that before the relocation, the families were accompanied and assisted by PRRC in various community dialogues and ocular inspections as part of their social preparation. They were also provided with 40 trucks and vans as they move to the relocation site.
