The season to be jolly is here... for Christ our Savior was born on Christmas day!!! And making some less-fortunate  children very happy even for a day is noble and remarkable. Thanks to Zoomanity Group. “Christmas is for the children” quotes Robert L. Yupangco , CEO of Zoomanity Group , one of the leading companies in the theme park industry. With this in mind, the company took the opportunity to give back the happiness and blessings to less fortunate children this season of sharing and thanksgiving. Mr. Yupangco emphasizes that the kids of team shall be the one who will personally give the gifts to teach them to help at a young age. He believes that this will start a ripple effect and will further impact the future of the kids. Aside from promoting their advocacy which is called the 4 E’s (Education, Environmental Conservation, Exhibit and Entertainment) the company believes that it is part of their corporate social responsibility to give happiness to those kids who need...

More of Congressman Haresco and Boracay!

A few days ago, I joined a lunch buffet gathering together with other online media friends. Clueless on what is going to happen, I was a bit surprised when an honorable guy simply-dressed arrived, and everyone acknowledged and greeted him by handshake. He must be a VIP. And he is indeed one.   He is Congressman Teodorico “Nonong” Haresco Jr ., the Kasangga party list representative in Congress and Aklan congressional aspirant. Congressman Teodorico "Nonong" Haresco Jr. Though unknown to many of us present on the gathering (for most of us are Manilenos), this guy has accomplished a lot for his constituents. He authored and   co-authored more than 60 House bills. Most notable among them for his constituents are: ·        HB00115, an act increasing the bed capacity of Ibajay District Hospital from 25 to 100; ·        HB03192, an act providing for the establishment of barangay drugstores, otherwise kno...

Advocates holds a forum for Trike drivers and operators

Tricycle accounts for more than half of the total public transport vehicle in the Philippines, all combined, jeepneys, buses and taxicabs. They are in every street corner, ready to bring you to your destination without a sweat. They are big in numbers but they are the most less-taken cared of sector of the working masses. They don’t get to see doctors when they are sick, for obvious reasons, they only earn just enough or even less for the needs of their family, no extra money to spend for their own welfare. No benefits from the government so far! Happy to hear that there is a foundation who heard their woes and stood up to help improve their lives.    Nov. 22  at Max’s Scout Tuazon, Diliman, Quezon City,  the Madrigal Foundation headed by Ms. Therese Madrigal with its partners had a successful launched of “Para Kay Manong Toda,”  an Advocacy campaign to help our marginalise tricycle drivers to help them alleviate their lives by being heard thro...

Christmas, Traditions and King Sue Hams

Only in the Philippines…. Christmas celebrations are longest and extra-special. It’s a part of the Filipino culture and tradition. Filipinos are known for having close family ties and being super hospitable. Every celebration is always extra-special for them. Once the calendar hit the “BER” months, Christmas spirit can be heard and felt in just every corner.   Christmas carols are being played in the radio, tv commercials and in malls, hotels and restaurants. Christmas lightings and shows are everywhere. Visitors from other countries could only wonder in amazement how locals are able to allot the entire latter third part of the calendar year to celebrating Christmas. That’s Pinoy spirit! Part of our tradition is to fill our dining tables with bountiful mix of foods, 1) during the “noche Buena” salo-salo, and 2) on special gatherings with friends on several batches… last year I attended more or less 6 Christmas parties! J And in all these occasions, one particular food...

Leaxcoin: Creating A Real Estate Solution Using Blockchain Technology

The power of countries depends on the economy, which real estate market is a significant segment of. More than 50% of global finance belongs to it. An impressive share, isn’t it? This market segment is most adapted to reforms and crises. However, this does not mean that it cannot be slightly improved by innovations, such as the blockchain. The technological upgrade will allow the real estate market, as well as the economy, in particular, to move to a new stage of development. While the real estate market is “collecting its belongings” and is preparing for a full-fledged move to the blockchain, there could be a Japanese company that has launched the sale of real estate for the cryptocurrency market. Also today, a couple of Bitcoins can already buy you a paradise on an island somewhere in the Caribbean. The world of real estate is gradually becoming digital. Definitely, the “relocation” of the housing market onto the blockchain will have a positive impact on its development. Th...

A trusted road assistance app launched, Motolite RES-Q app!

It was so cool. I was able to witness the launch of another new app in the market, “Motolite ResQ App,” an app that will give you peace of mind on the road….a first of its kind in the Philippines! I experienced years back having been stuck on the road due to a battery problem. Motolite’s Express Hatid service saved us from trouble then. They came just in time and put us on the go again. From my childhood years also, with a family-owned jeepney and taxicab, my father depended on this ever reliable and trust-worthy battery brand too.  Motolite is not only the Philippines’ undisputed leader in automotive, motorcycle, and industrial batteries, it is also one of the few Filipino manufacturing companies ranked number one in the automotive battery segment in foreign markets like Australia and Malaysia. Not stopping from the Express Hatid Service, Motolite coined another innovative service for its clientele, the  Res-Q App,   Motolite’s on demand 24/7 roads...
