The Ice King at the Asia Leaders Awards 2020

And here comes Gerry "Mr. Freeze" Santos,  at the Asia Leaders Awards  2020.  Familiar with "Mr. Freeze?"  

Mr. Gerry Santos is the chief executive officer of Mr. Freeze Ice Tube Incorporated. He started the company in 2005 with only one ice plant. Now, the company is considered the largest manufacturer and distributor of tube ice in the Philippines. 

Gerry Santos knew every aspect of the ice business because of his father, ensuring the highest level of quality knowing that he learned from the best. His vision when he first started the company was to bring livelihood to tricycle drivers and helpers who are interested to increase their income as they become distributors.
 
Who would have thought that with ice, there will be a success story. This is a proof that every business must start somewhere and ours started from the ground up. He was the recipient of the Influencer of the Year, a finalist for the Businessman of the Year award and a finalist for the Innovative Company of the Year recognition at the Asia Leaders Awards 2019 held at Shangri-La Makati.

The businessman is also known for giving back to the community. Gerry Santos would always take the time off to visit the kids of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) in Quezon City to distribute food and toys.
 
What makes a business a success? It is the people around you. It is the commitment to giving back. It is knowing that a business does not stand alone. According to Gerry, “Success is something that's meant to be shared.”

For this year, Gerry will be at Asia Leaders Awards 2020 as an awardee. This year’s award ceremony will be on November 20, 2020 at Makati Shangri-La and at the Embassy of Singapore on November 23, 2020 and December 2, 2020 at Embassy of Malaysia and streamed live on the Asia Leaders Awards Facebook page and in 30 more accounts of partner organizations.

Asia Leaders Awards whose main objective is to promote the Philippines as a premier business hub and destination in Asia, is one of the largest and respected award event in the Philippines with awardees from Asia Pacific. Mission is to acknowledge those leaders who inspire others to do better and be the best in their industry.
