Makati Tourism Foundation Incorporated supports Asia Leaders Awards 2022

Asia Leaders Awards has continuously proven the prestige and recognition behind every award it gives out to deserving businesses and individuals. The secret of its integrity is the distinguish line up of the Awards Committee ever since it started years back.  They are all accomplished and respected individuals on their own fields of service expertise.

One of ALA’s awards committee member who has been very supportive and one with its objective and purpose is Tan Yu III.

Tan Yu III is the son of Dr. Elton See Tan, Chairman, President and CEO of the E-Hotels, Resorts & Residences Suites, and the grandson of business tycoon, Tan Yu, who was hailed as 7th wealthiest man in the world by Forbes magazine in 1997.  The Tans have been constructing hotels and condominiums in the Philippines, Taiwan and China for decades.

Heart & Mind of a Tan Yu offspring 

Tan Yu III, with his degree in Accounting, serves as the Financial Controller of The E-Hotels, Resorts and Residences Suites brand. He is also the current Secretary General of MTFI (Makati Tourism Foundation Inc) which was created to promote Makati as the top business & tourism destination in the country through numerous projects, exhibitions & events.  He is indeed a very passionate,  and dependable Tan offspring.

 Another Tan trait reflected on Tan Yu III, is the desire to help others.  He has been a constant force behind the Kingpaoguat Typoco Tanyu Internationale (KTTI) Foundation, the platform his family uses to support their various civic projects.  Despite his very busy schedule, he still find time to do charities. Busy as a bee on managing the chain of E-Hotels in the metro, he was able to join and lead other organizations. He served as one of the past Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis International Philippine Luzon District division 3A.

Educated in the US West Coast living alone in a dormitory, Tan Yu III learned to be independent at a very young age. A scholar at the prestigious Menlo College in Atherton California, where he earned his  degree in accounting, he trained in several accounting firms and banks during summers and holidays. Indeed, time is precious for this young Tan.

 

Integrity upfront and beyond 

The ALA Awards Committee for the past four years has truly proven how their selections go beyond and growth by putting premium on the extent of winners’ individual and corporate social responsibility efforts: from their own employees further out to their communities to the whole nation! The soft-spoken younger Tan Yu (Tan Yu III) is a perfect fit as one of the Awards Committee member with all his credentials and background in the the Hotel and Tourism business.

Asia Leaders Awards is the only recognition giving body whose awards committee is composed of respected leaders from different chambers, organizations, and embassies such as Embassy of Singapore, Embassy of Poland, and Korean Council among others. Its main objective is to promote the Philippines as a premier business hub and destination in Asia.
