Principalia, Women of Power and Purpose: in Kenny Ladaga Couture


The Principalia, the noble class of the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era, once held positions of power and influence in governance and society. Today, this term takes on a new meaning—honoring modern leaders who shape the nation through their influence, innovation, and advocacy. On March 31, 2025, Principalia: The Women of Power and Purpose, produced by Tag Media Group, gathered an exceptional lineup of women who are making a significant impact in various industries. This prestigious event, held at Makati Shangri-La, featured the stunning creations of acclaimed fashion designer Kenny Ladaga, whose designs continue to redefine elegance and empowerment.


The Women Behind Principalia The event paid tribute to women who exemplify leadership, resilience, and excellence, all of whom graced the runway in Kenny Ladaga Couture:

• MARIA BARBIE ANNE ARCACHE – A national leader for LGBT Pilipinas Taguig City and a renowned beauty queen. • GABRIELLE HAHN LOPEZ – Daughter of former congressman Manny Lopez, now affiliated with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCPI). • ANDRIA TERESE NICOLAS – Vice President of Tag Media Group, publisher of Rising Tigers Magazine, InCharge Magazine, and Top News Asia. • GLENDA HUFANO – A successful entrepreneur and Past District Governor of Kiwanis International, Philippine Luzon District. • GLENDA DELA CRUZ – A young and dynamic CEO of Beauty Empire under Brilliant Skin Essentials. • GRACE BONDAD NICOLAS – President of Tag Media Group, a key figure in media and business.

Kenny Ladaga: A Visionary in Fashion Kenny Ladaga, a Davao-based designer, is known for his sophisticated and innovative fashion. His designs, which blend Mindanao’s rich textile heritage with contemporary aesthetics, have earned him international recognition in fashion capitals like New York and Canada. Ladaga’s journey in fashion began in 2012, with his breakthrough in the Sagala Gown Competition at SM City Davao. Since then, he has continued to rise in the industry, gaining accolades for his intricate, nature-inspired couture. His recent success includes designing the gown worn by Lana Collantes, who was crowned Teen Universe Petite 2024, and being named one of the “People to Watch 2024” by Rising Tigers Magazine. A Grand Showcase of Fashion and Influence Aside from the featured women of power, Tag Media Group also invited 10 professional models to showcase Ladaga’s breathtaking creations from Davao, proving that Filipino fashion is ready for the world stage. Captured through the lenses of Roman Oxales and Emman Villaluz, Principalia 2025 was more than just a fashion event—it was a celebration of women’s leadership, elegance, and purpose. Through his craft, Kenny Ladaga continues to empower women, reinforcing that fashion is not just about style, but about storytelling, heritage, and influence.
