New Insulin Plant Tea from Yamang Bukid

Insulin plant became the talk of the town just before the pandemic hits us because it has been said that it can aid in the management of Diabetes. The leaves, when ingested by a human, can help the pancreatic cells to release insulin and thus treat higher or lower blood glucose levels in the body.

The harvesting of Insulin leaves in the farm almost every day is for the needed supplies of Yamang Bukid Healthy Products Inc (YBHPI) for the launching of processed Insulin Tea in tea bags nationwide.


Insulin Farm

In India, the Insulin plants are being used for decades by those with diabetes. The central office of the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) certified as authentic the Insulin plants that are organically-propagating at Yamang Bukid Farm- in Puerto Princesa Palawan.

Yamang Bukid Farm started as a small, private place for turmeric production barely two years ago. “We did not intend it to become a tourist destination. Because we had so much time, we bought a small parcel of land to be planted with the herbs and vegetables,” according to farm owner Rene Maduro.

Being established with their bestseller Yamang Bukid Turmeric Tea known for it’s 10-in-1 tea, meaning, it has a total of 10 different powerful herbs in it. The are namely: Pandan, Sambong, Lagundi, Banaba, Ginger, Malunggay, Gynura Procumbens, Lemongrass, Peppermint and of course, Turmeric.
